UP Galveston Sub.
UP's Galveston Sub is the former GH&H running 46.4 miles down to Galveston. Highway 3 parallels the line which is sees light traffic and is dispatched by track warrants. Most trains are locals, rock trains for Genoa and Galveston, and grain trains for Galveston. Listen on 161.445 and to TTD3 on 160.365 as trains contact him when getting close to Houston.

UP Beaumont Sub.
UP's Beaumont Sub runs from Settegast Jct in northeast Houston about 80 miles to Beaumont. The line is most accessible around Settegast and Beaumont. Listen on 160.515, but also to Settegast Yard on 160.740, and also TTD2 and TTD3. There are up to 15 trains daily, which are all eastbound. Trains include intermodals to New Orleans, manifests to Beaumont and Livonia, BNSF trackage rights trains, Tex-Mex trackage rights trains, and occasional rock trains.
UP Lafayette Sub.
UP's Lafayette Sub is the former Sunset Route from New Orleans and Beaumont to Houston. The line is next to Highway 90 the entire way from Beaumont to Englewood Yard. Listen on 160.875 and to TTD1 on 160.995 as trains contact him for clearance into Houston. There are up to 20 trains daily on the Lafayette Sub, with most being westbound. These include intermodals and manifests along with Tex-Mex and BNSF trackage rights trains. Amtrak runs the Sunset Limited in both directions.
BNSF Houston Sub.
BNSF's Houston Sub is the former BRI from Belt Jct in Houston to Teague and on to Dallas. The line is 165 miles to Teague and is dispatched by track warrants. It is pretty inaccessible north of Houston. Casey Yard is a holding and switching yard located about 20 miles out. The road channel is 161.100. Also listen to Casey Yard on 161.160 and TTD2 as trains must get his clearance into Houston. There are about 10 trains a day on the Houston Sub which are manifests from Alliance, Amarillo, Tulsa, and Teague to the Port of Houston. Northbounds run to Teague and St. Louis.
